By Air

Travelers coming in by air will arrive at the Louis Armstrong International Airport. From the airport, the ride to the hotel is anywhere from 20-40 minutes depending on traffic. To get into town, you have a choice of:

  • Cab. $36 one way plus tip. Taxi stands are outside baggage claim belts 1 and 14. Please note, some cabs are still cash only, so be sure to either have enough cash on hand or ask before getting in.
  • Airport Shuttle. $24 one way or $44 round trip. You can reserve your seat in advance online at http://www.airportshuttleneworleans.com/
  • Jefferson Transit Bus (JET), bus E-2. $2 one way. This line runs weekdays only and may be picked up on the upper level outside door #7. Exiting at Perdido & Loyola will leave you two and a half blocks from the hotel. Visit http://www.jeffersontransit.org/e2airport.php for a full schedule.
  • New Orleans RTA Airport Express, bus 202. $1.50. Trip will take approximately 40 minutes. The only drop off in town is Elk Place at Canal. You will have to walk approximately 6 blocks to get to the hotel. Visit http://www.norta.com/Maps-Schedules/System-Map/Line.aspx?ID=10701 for the full schedule.

NB - the bus station is adjacent to the raised highway US Route 90. This area underneath the highway is a common sleeping/pan handling area for local homeless people. While the people who gather here are normally not aggressive they may stop you asking for change, pay you a compliment, or simply ask how you’re doing. I do not recommend walking from the train/bus station if you are uncomfortable with homeless people. You can easily get a cab, Lyft, or Uber from the station to the hotel.
