Banquet

This year's banquet will be held at Mulate's, a home-cooking, music playing cornerstone of Cajun cuisine in New Orleans. Founded in 1980 in Breaux Bridge, LA, Mulate's quickly became well-known for its peculiar blend of home-style Cajun food and music with a German beer garden and dance hall design. Its delicious Cajun home recipes, family-and-friends-style seating, and, of course, music quickly drew people in, leading Mulate's to become a key participant in the revitalization and popularization of Cajun music during the late 1980s. Kerry Boutté saw an opportunity to bring a little piece of Acadiana to New Orleans and, luckily for us, moved his restaurant to 201 Julia Street, where it remains today.

Mulate's has opened their private dining area for the banquet, where we'll have our own cash bar, entry, and restrooms. We won't have a live band in the room with us but music will certainly be brought into the room. Buffet style serving will allow for plenty of seating and open floor space for eating, talking, and dancing!
