Columbus is approximately 96 miles southwest of Atlanta. You may fly directly into Columbus or into Atlanta and take Groome Transportation shuttle service. The shuttle service travels every hour between the Atlanta airport and Columbus (schedule is on Groome’s webpage).

One Way Between:

Children: Under 2 Years: no charge when accompanied by an adult
2 - 6 Years: 1/2 of regular fare

Roundtrip Between:

Delivery to and pick-up from the hotel costs an additional $10.00 each way. You board the shuttle at the Atlanta Airport (see map at Groome website for location in airport terminal) and purchase your one-way or roundtrip ticket upon arrival at Groome Transportation’s Columbus main office. Reservations are not required.

Flying into Columbus:
Delta Airlines and its affiliate Atlantic Southeast Airways service the Columbus airport. The Marriott Hotel offers free airport shuttle service and complimentary parking. Rental cars are available at the Columbus Airport.

Driving Directions:

The 2006 SEMLA annual meeting will be held at the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts / Schwob School of Music

From the North (Atlanta)
Take I-85 South (50 miles) to I-185. Take I-185 South to Exit 10 (39 miles). Proceed on US 80 West 3.1 miles to Exit 1 - Downtown Columbus. Turn right on 10th Street. Turn left on Broadway. The RiverCenter for the Performing Arts and the Schwob School of Music are on the left side of the 900 block of Broadway. Parking is available in the parking garage across the street from the RiverCenter. The Marriott Hotel is kitty-corner to the RiverCenter on Front Street (corner of 9th St, Broadway, and Front Ave.).

From the South (Fort Benning)
Take Victory Drive west. Turn right on Veterans Parkway. Turn left on 10th Street. Turn left on Broadway. The RiverCenter for the Performing Arts and the Schwob School of Music are on the left side of the 900 block of Broadway. Parking is available in the parking garage across the street from the RiverCenter. The Marriott Hotel is kitty-corner to the RiverCenter on Front Street (corner of 9th St, Broadway, and Front Ave.).

From the East
Take state highway 85 west into Columbus. This becomes Manchester Expressway. Turn left on Veterans Parkway (Highway 27). Turn right on 10th Street. Turn left on Broadway. The RiverCenter for the Performing Arts and the Schwob School of Music are on the left side of the 900 block of Broadway. Parking is available in the parking garage across the street from the RiverCenter. The Marriott Hotel is kitty-corner to the RiverCenter on Front Street (corner of 9th St, Broadway, and Front Ave.).

From the West (Auburn, Opelika & Birmingham)
East on Hwy. 280 to Phenix City, AL. Cross the river on the Oglethorpe Bridge, proceed to the first traffic signal in front of the Civic Center. Turn left on Veterans Parkway. Proceed North to 10th Street. Turn left on 10th Street. Continue to Broadway. Turn left on Broadway. The RiverCenter for the Performing Arts and the Schwob School of Music are on the left side of the 900 block of Broadway. Parking is available in the parking garage across the street from the RiverCenter. The Marriott Hotel is kitty-corner to the RiverCenter on Front Street (corner of 9th St, Broadway, and Front Ave.).
