The SEMLA 2011 conference hotel is the elegant Siena Hotel in Chapel Hill, NC. Rooms are $119 for singles and doubles + 13.75% state and local taxes. This special conference rate will be available for the nights of Wednesday, October 19, 2011 through Saturday, October 22, 2011 and includes a breakfast buffet. Other amenities include free wifi throughout the hotel, free parking, in-room minifridge, and close proximity to shopping, restaurants, and bus stops. Additionally, rooms allow for letting in fresh air!

To place your reservation, call the Siena Hotel at (919) 929-4000 or (800) 223-7379 and use the group name SEMLA. To ensure availability of accommodations, all reservations must be received prior to September 30, 2011. The Hotel will continue to accept rooms at our discount group rate after this date pending availability of discounted rates in the Hotel at the time the reservation is made. Guest rooms will be paid for by individual guests. Guests are required to cancel reservations no later than 24 hours prior to arrival.

The Hotel can accept packages up to 3 days prior to your arrival. Earlier arrivals are subject to a drayage fee of $5 per box, per day. The maximum weight for any package to be stored by the Hotel is 100 pounds. Please contact the Hotel directly for more information about shipping to yourself at the Hotel.

Our Friday night banquet will take place at the Hotel, home to the AAA Four Diamond restaurant Il Palio. We are extremely grateful to Christine Clark and Theodore Front Musical Literature Inc. for their generous support of our banquet. Details about the menu will be made available closer to the time of our meeting, as Il Palio showcases North Carolina's local farmers and artisan producers.
